Prior to creating Journey, Sutton served as Chief Digital Officer and President at Red Ventures, where he helped scale the company from a small 80-person operation to a $10 billion global conglomerate. In 2017, Sutton led the $3 billion take-private acquisition of Zoopla, a leading UK real estate search & platform, for Red Ventures and Silver Lake Partners, joining as a board member until 2021. Then, in 2022, he became a trusted advisor to Opendoor CEO, Eric Wu.

Recognized as one of Charlotte’s 40 Under 40 emerging business leaders, Sutton’s accomplishments span beyond the boardroom. A former professional beach volleyball player, he ranked among the top 75 players in the country.
